Mediation 202

Who should attend?

Practicing mediators seeking an opportunity to enhance skills. Practice will be video taped for individuals to take away.
This three-day advanced course is designed to offer experienced mediators an intensive skill-building experience in techniques for resolving complex disputes (prerequisite: 32-40 hours of basic mediation training.) Participants will be videotaped practicing these skills. This focus will assist mediators in improving their ability to set agendas, further develop their mediation style, identify multi-party interests, and facilitate negotiation and the development of strategies and alternatives which increase the likelihood of resolution. Identify and deal with cultural biases.

You will learn:
  • How to incorporate attorney's fees and agendas into the mediation
  • To manage difficult mediation challenges: Title VII, value disputes, positional stances, and use of experts
